Images should have <alt> tags which contain your keyword.

There should be one or more outbound links in your article. An article which lacks outbound links may be seen as purely self-promotional and devalued on that basis. A quality article will lead the reader to want to find out more about the topic. Two strategies here are linking to another post that you have made or linking to a high-quality article or website by another author. Either way, you are adding value and you will be rewarded with search engine goodness.The article should be clearly worded and easy to understand.

The Page title should be more than 40 characters and less than 70 characters.

Your focus keyword should appear within the headings and subheadings of the article. These headings are defined by the H1 & H2 tag. When robots scan your page and determine it’s quality they do this in a quick and efficient manner, just like you would when you skim an article.

The Empower Digital Grant is open to participants who meet the following requirements. Eligible applicants must be a small business that:

  • Has been nominated by a Technical Assistance Provider through MGCC’s Small Business Technical Assistance Program
  • Is based and operating within Massachusetts
  • Is employing 1-20 FTE employees (including 1099s)
  • Is the business owners’ primary source of income
  • Has an annual revenue not exceeding $2,500,000
  • Has completed and submitted the Digital Assessment to their SBTA Sponsor for review
  • Has been in business for a minimum of one year at the time of application
    • Requires 2021 Federal Business Tax Returns or Schedule C
  • Is NOT owned by someone employed by the sponsoring SBTA
  • Is NOT a nonprofit, not-for-profit, or charitable organization
  • Is NOT a business supplying digital services to other businesses (e.g. website design/development, SEO, programming)
  • Is NOT a franchise with more than 2 locations, including those individually owned-and-operated (Franchises with up to 2 locations will be considered, but MGCC reserves the right to limit grant funding to one location)
  • Is NOT a real estate rental/sales business

  4. Include a number if you can “I’m trying to get to 10 (or 25) five-star google reviews to get ahead of my local competition” is even better.
  5. Tell them it won’t take much time so they do it right away. “it will only take 2-3 minutes of your time and it will help me a LOT!”
  6. Provide them with the link – Hit them with the link right away! You’ve set them up and they’re ready to give you a five-star Google Review, make sure you make it easy for them and hit them with the review link right now!
